Just to be judgitious (sp?) there are uses for pressure treated wood. In
building a handicapped ramp for a friends kid, I used PTD for the runners on
the grass leading away from the deck. The slope from the deck to the ground
was with reg. 2 x 4's, PTD plywood and astroturf (for traction in wet
conditions). The whole thing worked well.
Didn't think of painting it though.
