I was driving 90+ mph in the night alone through I think the Dakotas...
I had not seen anyone or anything significant for quite some time, I was
never quite sure where I was then as I had been awake and driving for
like 3 days already... and a pheasant flew up and hit the windshield of
the car at the point where the roof and glass met. It was not exactly a
case of bird poop... but it did turn the bird into quite a mess all over
the front of the car and it did get my attention.
