I have pix in boox, but you could probably get one more easily through Google. The former Jefferson Market Courthouse (c. 1876) now houses a branch of the New York Public Library.

Do either of you have a picture of this building, for those of us on the other side of the Mississippi?

I wish.No shit. Love that building. You and me both. Thought I'd died and gone to Architectural History Heaven when I saw it live for the first time. Now that I mention it, I hope Marcus Whiffen gets to spend eternity looking at it from across the street. Probably just putting up bridging because some whiner got hit by a little piece of cornice... Some of the stone looks sorta wet to me, and it ain't rained lately.
