Steve,
As I remember, your claim was that my friend's wife's barnyard turkeys
(which drowned themselves while looking up at rain) were not as smart as your
wild turkeys which stampede each other to death while rushing into a barrel
to look at noise.
Now you're trying to confuse the matter by turning this into some sort of
contest between Urban Sophistication and Rural Shrewdness.
I am shocked and saddened that anyone would try to pit against one another
the different branches of the family of our almost-national-bird. I, on the
other hand, go around calling people Towelheads and Frito Banditos, for which
I will no doubt (and with justification) get reamed out once again.
Ralph
PS--Or did you mean that birds stampeding into a barrel are no more or less
stupid than people who live in cities?
