 I liked the original 1920 ?ATT buidling  better with just up from Trinity 
Church ; huge polished Tenesse marble floor and supported by those interior 
marble collums  where they make all those tv commercials ,upstairs still had those 
panel of rooms where all the switchboard operators used to sit  when you 
would just pick up the lead based phone  and say  Penslylvania 6 -5000......or 
Plaza ,or Mulberry or some such .
 Here in the center of the universe there are people who remember the first 
phones and the line at the general store on a saturday to use it ; they also 
remember the first  real bathrooms besides the two holer complete with corn 
pones   but thats a nutter story  Py
