I actually found it interesting this spring to come across some dirt roads
in upstate NY, around Arcade which is near Attica.  Beautiful homes in the
area, some lived in all year long, and the roads looked freshly oiled and
fairly well maintained.  I hadn't seen one since moving out of the old
neighbourhood (Besemer, NY), and it amazed me they still existed up here.
