Leland:

Oscar Rixon was developing door hardware from about 1900 to 1915, 
patenting a few designs.

By the 1930s Wallace Moore was making improvements in Rixon's basic 
designs and the American Hardware Corporation of New Britain, CT, was 
picking up his patents. No immediate record on whether or not they went 
into production.
