"Beyer Blinder Belle's reputation as a responsible traditionalist firm is
finished."

Such is the verdict rendered by Ian Fletcher (on his website
http://www.morningside-heights.net/) of the 3B's new apartment house adjacent
to the Manhattan School of Music, near 122nd and Claremont Avenue, adjacent
to the Columbia University campus.

I found this building attractive and elegant (with the minor exception of a
somewhat fussy entry arch). Particularly refreshing was Bx3's decision to
have it's fake-limestone rustication not "match" the real-limestone
rustication of the adjacent Shreve, Lamb & Harmon modern-classical building
for the school. (Check the wow-deco-classical interiors by SLH.)

Have any other subscribers - except for British-Columbia-Guy (and also
Peanut, I guess) seen this building, and developed an opinion?
