BTW- the interior of the Merchant's House Museum is landmarked.

I saw Nelson's launching pad, which was next to my first and most  glorious
but alas never repeated project, US Trust at 9-11 W 54, about a  year after
he...took off.  It was a remarkably shabby back-parlor sort of  room which
probably was nice until he covered it in (travertine?-) beige  paint.
