Gee, I dunno anybody who'd spec anything that expensive....What's the word
on
Tnemec, Mike and others? I remember Frank Matero used to say Rustoleum
wasn;t worth the can it comes in....

I am aware of at least two projects of significant scale on which Tnemec
coatings are in service over Edison patches, and so far so good. As for
Rustoleum, the original formula was based on fish oil, which was supposed
to be efficient at penetrating rust. Today, of course, Rustoleum makes a
wide range of industrial coatings, and I have used some of them with
satisfactory results.

It seems to me that most paint manufacturers have products of widely
varying quality and price. With the reputable companies you get what you
pay for. There are some companies with the incredible chutzpah, however, to
put together incredibly slick marketing campaigns and charge up to 4 times
what their stuff is worth. Buyer beware!
