 <<Really small Ken.jpg>> <<Mini Michael.jpg>> I'm now going to err on the
opposite side of the digital image spectrum, and submit these tiny gems as
an example of bandwidth friendliness. Perhaps we could forward these with
some other miniscule masterpieces of the leading lights of BP to the US
Postal Service as a new stamp series. There is something disarming about
seeing pictures that are reduced to a few thousand pixels. Kind of like
combining cubism and pointillism. Averaging only 10 kb, we could get photos
of the entire BP list in one message and it would still be smaller than one
of Leland's gloriously extravagant images. I went a little extreme here, but
there's no reason anything has to be bigger than 50kb.

But seriously, if anybody has a large-ish picture they'd like to have
reduced, as I'm on a "fat pipe" I'd be pleased to help out. Just send it to
me off list, I'll sprinkle some reducing powder on it, and send it back.

OK OK, Ken told me to scan at 300DPI. I thought that was
low enough for
you. What do I do next to get down to your level? Is your
monitor smaller
                than 24" diagonal?
                Best,
                Leland
