Which vertical do you have? I forget. If it has sections for each band like 
my hustler does, could it be the 75/80 meter part is loose? I agree if it 
was a bad coax you'd see it on all bands. I would tend to think either the 
section for that band might be loose, maybe something built a nest in it or 
something, or, any close by trees or anything that might be causing an 
issue? Also, do you hear it in the receive? Does it sound like something's 
loose? What are you using for SWR reading? Could it be as simple as RF 
feedback in to what you're using for SWR reading? I can't say I've heard 
much of that going on but it's not impossible either. Do you have signal 
reports on 75 meters? Any reports of RF feedback in the audio? That's about 
my list of questions for now.
