The local phone service that my cable company provides is not internet based 
for local calls and it will also work with my security system.  MagicJack 
and Google Voice would not work with my security system do to timing issues.

Why would you think that your cable provider be more secure.
Your ISP provider has more information about you than any body on the
planet.
