I have yet to get a signal from inside a window. XM has on the web site
about what frequencies they use, it's up there, in the 5 GHz area, not sure
exactly where off hand. I've never had a signal here or where I go on
vacation though on cape cod with an antenna inside. My home setup I have now
though it will soon be replaced by my myfi and that will be the only one I
have, but the home unit I have now, what I did with the magnetic car antenna
which I don't think was supposed to come with this one but it did, anyway, I
have that magneted to the stand offs for 1 of my ham radio antennas believe
it or not and it works very well. ON vacation I used the myfi and just hung
the home antenna out the window by the wire and that worked, then I worked
out something with it and 1 of the shutters so it wasn't hanging like that.

Subject: Satellite Radio

Good afternoon,

Does anybody have an idea as to what frequency range the satellite radio
Sirius transmit on? I have one of these radios and the small dipole antenna
works OK in the open, but we don't get much of a signal from any window in
the house. I have several antennas on the top of the tower that I know
would work better if I had an idea as to what frequency they use.

The mag mount that comes with the mobile setup can be placed on a large tray
and bring in a better signal than the dipole. I would use the mag mount all
the time except that there is no way of keeping the tray outside our window
on the second floor.

Thank you for any information you can pass on.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

Paul Bolduc
