I don't know whether anyone has one of those rigs; you may have to find
someone who has one.
On my FT950, the VFO B knob, which adjusts a menu item such as power output
does work in the way you describe. But the detented "select" knob, which
chooses among the 118 menu items, wraps around to item 1 when you have
turned clockwise to 118. The knob has 30 clicks per revolution, and I put a
dymo tape label on the knob to help me keep oriented.
I have the Custom Set button set to menu 111, power output, so that I can
reliably access that setting. for anything else in the menus, I have to
count clicks or try to adjust things with Ham Radio Deluxe (which I haven't
used for over a year).

Subject: Yaesu FT-897 ABC key functions
Hi all:
I'm going to drop another FT bom on this list. HIHIHI
I gotta question about the multi selection of the ABC keys. When you rotate
the knob to select, do the keep scrolling in circle or can you learn what
the bottom row is, twist the knob 6 or 7 revolutions to get to the bottom
and gently rotate the other way, counting the bumps in the knob to get to
lets say the filter selections and press the A B or C key as needed?
IE with the TS-570, when you press the power button, you can rotate the
multi knob clockwise continuously and the power will stop at 100 but as soon
as you rotate the knob 1 bump counter clockwise, the power will decrease by
5W. I'm thinking the FT-857D/897D radios ABC and multi knob selection method
works this way. Its a shame but I don't think there are much options for us
blind folks for a somewhat portable 160/70CM all mode rig available unless
we get a TS-480/transverter combo, TS-2000 and remote head or old IC-706.
