Yeah, I bought some half-inch a couple years ago from an office supply place 
on-line, it works well but the half-inch sometimes hangs up in the labeler. 
Next time, I'll opt for 3/8 inch.

To be quite honest it has been a long time and it did work well but I think
it was a 3/8ths width instead of a half inch.  I was fortunate enough some
years ago to buy   rolls of the good stuff from the local Lighthouse when
they were selling their stock and stopping the sale of such products.
