Yeah, I never hooked it up with the radio on, it seems like if I play I can 
get it to work until the next time I turn the radio on. You're right he did 
mention it in the manual, on the web site, and when I emailed him to get the 
special pricing for blind hams and told him which radio it was with he said 
it then too. Anyway, if I can help let me know, the cable I use for the 
computer is the RT systems USB cable for their software, works great hooked 
to a computer with that cable.
