Yeah, I never hooked it up with the radio on, it seems like if I play I can get it to work until the next time I turn the radio on. You're right he did mention it in the manual, on the web site, and when I emailed him to get the special pricing for blind hams and told him which radio it was with he said it then too. Anyway, if I can help let me know, the cable I use for the computer is the RT systems USB cable for their software, works great hooked to a computer with that cable. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eric Clegg" <[log in to unmask]> To: <[log in to unmask]> Sent: Wednesday, August 26, 2009 8:02 PM Subject: Re: Ham Radio Delux > HI John, > The only thing I can say is I've heard the FT817ND is really quirky about > accepting data. > > For instance if the radio is not switched off when you try to connect the > Millenium Qsyer it will lock up. > I think John Hansen even made a comment about that in his manual to the > Qsyer. > > Thanks for your helpful comments. > > 73, > > Eric > KU3I > > > __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus > signature database 4371 (20090826) __________ > > The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. > > http://www.eset.com
