Very slick, that was my idea two days ago, but I didn't know if it would 
work.I can't imagine how to do it from a switch, but I am not an engineer. 
Maybe you disconnect the plate voltage to the finals, and the grid drive 
passes through the tubes.  This is beyond me in the details.  The grids 
aught to get maybe 5 watts or so.
