I have both key pads as well, but the only one I really used was the 
qsyer.  I could change the baud rate to match the tuner.  The other 
problem I had was I bought the splitter that is sold by the radio mate 
people and when I tried that, the qsyer didn't work, numbers I entered 
weren't sent to the radio properly.  I almost wish I hadn't bought all 
the extras for that radio, but I did, so there it is.  I did get it 
sounding fairly good by going into the menus and shifting the carrier 
insertion.
