A good friend of mine, Neil, K6SMF, has over 500 if I recall correctly.
Neil is an interesting fellow. He is retired now, and spends something like
44 weeks a year traveling to all major hamfest in the country, and many
not-so-big ones. It is nothing for Neil to travel back and forth across the
country twice in a month. I mention him because one of the reasons that he
does this, to find keys of interest. He has one of the largest collections
in the land. You can generally follow his travels on 14.185.

I am surprised that the serial is that low.
I have two Vibraplex keys here.
The RSGB centenary key, and a 1911 version which I have just had restored.
My collection is now over 30 keys on my bench.

Subject: Vibroplex bug for sale
Hi all,
I have a Vibroplex bug, number 201849, for sale. The bug was purchased =
directly from Vibroplex a couple of years ago and is in very good shape =
for its age. There is a bit of wear on the corners which was present =
when I purchased it. I also will include an extension that slows the =
bug's speed down to somewhere around 10 wpm or a little slower. I'm =
selling it because I have another bug here someone gave me about 15 =
years ago that was a gift. I really don't use the bug very much and =
would like to find it a good home. I'm asking $100 shipped/insured or =
make a reasonable offer.
Please contact me directly at [log in to unmask] to avoid cluttering =
the list.
