This reminded me - I posted several times on this list that I was told by
Bread and Circus employees that their beef was range grazed. Bread and Circus had been bought
by Whole Foods Market a couple of years ago. I recently noticed a sign on the wall in their
meat department where they proudly state that the meat is naturally raised, without hormones
or pesticides, etc. etc. on a GRAIN BASED feed. So, I guess, the buy out was for the worse.
They still sell New Zealand lamb (which, I understand, is all grass fed) as well as Icelandic
lamb, which they told me was also likely grass fed.
