I know what you mean. It's really hard to give up wheat and corn,
primarily because so many quick and easy snacks are made from them. It's a
lot easier to grab a bagel or a muffin for breakfast than to put together a
paleo meal.

I have found that the best thing for me to do is go to the grocery store
with my mental stone and spear and fill up my refrigerator with all of my
favorite paleo food. That keeps me from straying and heading toward the
local pizza parlor, which happens to be only half a block from my
house..... :-(

The other thing that saves me is to have lots of fruit and nuts around,
including dried fruit, for snacks. You can get a big plastic container and
fill it up with trail mix (make your own) and it's healthy, paleo, keeps
for a long time, and easy to take with you if you're on the run.

I have found that after a while you won't really miss the bread, as long as
you keep plenty of food you like around. Don't let yourself feel deprived
-- replace it with something paleo that you love.

The worst part for me is eating in restaurants whenever they bring a big
basket full of hot steamy rolls out with the salad. There should be a law
against that. :-)

Sometimes it's just a matter of willpower.

Good luck.
