In charge of the restoration effort of the Waiting Room a number of years
ago before the big job got going, I came across workmen flipping over a
piece of Tennessee marble on the floor to show the "good side" (the top
side was severely cupped due to people sitting on the now removed bench and
grinding their feet on the floor).  Fortunately I was there when the
"corrections" first happened and had them flip it back...because the floor
told a story of its earlier past, besides which, once you start flipping
stones over, where do you stop.  As at entrance doors, the cupping can
extend quite far.
Go to the waiting room now, or later when the seasonal vendors aren't
covering the floor, and you'll see the evidence that indeed this was once a
waiting room, even if the benches have been moved to more advantageous
locations.

Leave the ghosts alone!
