Hello all,

I have an Arkenstone Openbook reading machine. The computer portion is a 166
Mhz with 32 meg RAM and 4.4 gig of hard drive space (three separate hard
drives). It has windows 3.1 and window eyes. It also has a Soundblaster 16 card.
I got it in January of last year. I also need information about the video card
too. I was told that some of the newer programs require a better monitor than
mine. It is over 4 years old 680 x 680?? I was told I should get at least a
1200 x 1000 or so.

I would like to upgrade the hardware. Maybe add 32 meg more RAM. I would also
like to keep all my current software and windows 3.1, but would like to put
windows 95 as an additional and separate operating system. I have been told
that I could get Partion Magic or System Commander and these programs will
permit me to have two operating systems on the computer and I can then choose to
use one or the other. I would like to do this, so I can keep and use those
"old" 3.1 programs that I have and am familiar with and still be able to have
windows 95 and some of the newer programs that I can not run now. I am waiting
for the bugs to get out of win 98.

I need any information, suggestions, compatibility problems etc. All help will
be greatly appreciated. I would like to keep costs to a minimum too.
