I agree one hundred per cent with your entire post; I get very nervous when I
hear people stating that they don't like questions; please dislike or disagree
with the answers but when we have people saying do not ask certain questions,
well, you know.. it sounds like someone assumes they have found all of the
answers! Certainly, some posts tend to challenge a basic tenet but that's why
I am reading all of these posts everyday; if anyone thinks the subject of
"appropriate diet" is actually cut and dried (no pun intended) enough to fit in
100 pages or so, then what they really want is a recipe book and stars for good
behavior. This is a serious subject and, as one salient post stated, please go
read the paleo-diet (for newcomers, that is not this list but is another
available from Don Wiss' Paleolithic Diet web pages) archives if you want to
read the first hand scientific debate of this subject. I have been gone for a
couple of days and was heartened to read David Karis' post to the effect that
Todd will be back. If and when intelligent discussion becomes a "no no," I
am sure many will be gone from the list. Rick Strong
