I think that many people who switch to a meat-and-fat diet end up
eating less than they did when they were eating piles of
spaghetti, French fries, etc. At Burger King, a lunch of a
Whopper, a large order of fries and a soda could easily exceed
2,000 calories--and that's just lunch. A ketogenic lunch of meat
and fat probably comes nowhere near this.

Me too. I was a lot more than 15 pounds overweight then. And I
am *way* stronger now, at 45. I am hoping that another year of
paleo will result in subtle changes in my eating patterns and
appetite levels, resulting in the slight caloric deficit needed
to drop the remaining weight.

Yes, sit-ups are a notoriously inefficient form of exercise.

This is great, and it is really important, I think. For one
thing, the more you do with your son, the more you reinforce in
him the expectation of having a real life.

That's a new one for me. How is weakened thyroid connected with
the symptoms of autism?
