Jack,

On the first system I put together I used the plastic stand offs to space
the motherboard from the case, but out of ignorance did not use the brass
grounding screw at all.  Every time I moved the case or put a disk in the
A:\ drive....the system crashed.  Was not until I grounded the motherboard
with the brass stand off that my system became stable.
In my case the brass stand off went 'under' the motherboard to the case,
then was secured with another screw from the 'top' of the MB through to the
brass grounding screw.
