hi all. I got a phone call from the customer service woman who had
unintentionally misinformed me about the Elite product I wrote about
last week. She was all appologetic and confirmed that she indeed had an
old list.

Today in the mail I got the old list, tho I was promised that a new one
would be forthcoming.

These are the Elite items that DO contain gluten. All others do not.

Stop
Matrifim (coated peanuts)
American peanuts
Swiss milk chocolate + rice crispies
all wafers (including glili'ot, bon apetit'im, avivi'ot, etc)
all snack foods containing wafers or buscuits (kif kef, pesek zman,
shokobis, twist, tuv ta'am, tortit, reva l'sheva( EXCEPT for ta'ami
   which has soy flour
pasta
all cakes and cookies (yesh, roll-up cakes, Passover cookies,
   "homemade" cakes)covered matza
**casino** {this caused the stir, but this is the old list and casino
   is now OK}

New on the list that DO contain gluten are:
Ruffles (pizza flavor only)
soup nuts

The customer service woman gave me some good news, however. This year
for Passover, they are making the following items GF (from potato
starch):
Pesek zman
kif kef
milk chocolate and dark chocolate wafers (also from potato flour)

I have no interest in this company except that they make chocolate that
my kids love.

Happy eating.
