I've been eating raw foods for the past few weeks (prior to that, my diet
was somewhere around 80% raw and 20% cooked - mostly rice or pasta, or eggs -
for some 3 months). And so, for the 3-4 months, I've seen my body go
through what I hope is a detoxification process of some sort, accompanied
by some fairly significant loss of weight (I am currently under
my ideal weight by some 15lbs, and very slowly going down).

Well, the weight loss is really the only drawback I can see to my diet.
Everything else (skin condition, hair, mental alertness, etc.) has improved
to a very significant extent. I would - and will continue to, if necessary -
trade a few pounds for the above wonderful benefits I get from my raw diet
any time.

However, the loss of weight does worry me. I continue to lose muscle and
even if my overall energy levels are better than ever, I am much weaker
because of the muscle loss.

In any case, I just recently got into "sprouting". I count on it to become
a very important part of my diet, as I want to eliminate all cooked foods
completely.

I'd like to find out what you think about my weight loss, the idea of
germinations being a major part of a raw diet (what might be
the most nutritious things to germinate?), and any other comments
some of you might have for a newbie like myself.

I am 22yo, 5"11 and currently around 130lbs (male). [D [D [D [D [D [D I always hated the idea of
measuring my health in pounds, but
I also hate to see some of the muscles I have disappear and
the feeling of weakness that goes along with the latter.

Thanks.
