Susie,
	I can't answer your basic question, but I'd be wary of cheapo
dehydrators if they work off of electricity (instead of air and sun).
Often (usually?) the food gets dehydrated at temperatures high enough to
kill the enzymes (which doesn't take much), and then you no longer have a
raw food.
