My daughter (biopsy confirmed celiac) had what I believe was the D-xylose
test alomg with her biopsy about ten years ago at Children's Hospital in
Boston.  As I recall, they said they were doing the D-xylose as a test to see
if it matched the bipsy -- again as I recall, it did reach similar results as
the biopsies.
