> 1. Where does a person get these recipes?

Toni Richardson is a member of our local support group. I'm afraid
the only way to get her recipes is through our newsletter, or by
attending our meetings. I believe she has occasionally submitted them to
the CSA/USA Lifeline publication, as well. If the newsletter is
well-received on this forum, then I'll continue to post it, and you can
get some recipes from it.

My understanding of the labeling laws is this: For FOODS, the term
"starch", when used by itself, always means corn starch. "Modified food
starch" and "food starch-modified" could come from any source. So if the
ingredients of a FOOD product list plain "starch", it should be okay for
celiacs (assuming the other ingredients are also gluten-free).

For medications, this rule apparently does not apply. So in a
medication, "starch" could come from sources other than corn.
