Matt,

The  extra audio cable isn't needed.  It's only for use if your radio 
doesn't have   another way of getting audio to the unit.

Be sure you are holding it right side up.   Just from memory, I thought 
the  push button was in the lower left corner and not the upper right 
corner.

  you will need to install the jumper block on the header before you do 
anything else.
