Check with the Main Trading Company to see what special deals they have on
Wouxun radios. They often have some pretty good prices on them

Sarah,

I am partial to the Wouxun models.

I have owned one of the original models since 2010, and it has seen a bunch
of use, almost daily.

Most of them are in the $100 to $140 range, and can be bought at almost any
ham equipment dealer, especially the traditional ones such as HRO, AES, and
Universal Radio.

They cost more than the Beofengs, but in my opinion at least, they are much
better radios. Plus, they are much easier to program from the keypad itself.

The voice feedback is similar to what you have with the beofeng, but you do
not get that feedback for the PL tones.

There is a work around for that, which is explained in the documentation
that was developed by Buddy Brannon and others for the early Wouxun model.
