	Not sure I follow you on this one.  The button you describe is the 
tuner button to activate the auto tuner.   It will send "SWR" in cw if a 
  match can't be found.

I think what Mike  was discussing was the ability to have the PF key 
set up to announce the  actual SWR reading.   He seems to not be able to 
do this  in SSB for some reason.

Not sure how you have your PF keys set, but they can be set to announce 
s-meter, power out, alc, swr, and comp settings.


Of course I may have misunderstood Mike's original message in the first 
place.
