Hi Jim,
Thanks for the offered help.

I didn't know that a KX3 could be controled from a PC.

I should have figured it could be.

What sort of output port did you get for your radio? A serial or Usb?

I'm also wondering where can I get a cable with fuses and a cigarette
lighter plug that would make with the KX3's power jack.

I have a similar cable for my Yaesu FT817ND but it has a smaller connector.
Trust Yaesu not to use a standard barrel connector.

I'm planning to power the radio from a Samlex regulated power supply that
has a cigarette lighter plug on the front and terminals on the back.
