I'd thought the decoding was done by the rig, not the Hampod. Please
correct me if I'm wrong.

Subject: Ham Pod type stand alone decoder

Hi all:

I'd like to see a Ham pod type device developed as a stand alone
CW/digital mode decoder with voice.
The pod can already connect to an Elecraft K series, Steppir and can
decode digital modes.
Why not have a device that can be hooked up to any transceiver that
can perform this task?
Sure that's cheating as far as the CW expert is concerned but why not?
Maybe it could even transmit as well, have a built in sound card and
provisions for a USB keyboard.
