If I remember right, some years ago someone on this list had tried a 
Flex (or something similar) with a DJ console or whatever it is called. 
   While designed for music, it connects to the computer and has knobs 
and sliders that can be assigned.  I think the idea was to assign some 
of these controls to functions on the radio, but I don't think it 
worked as well as was hoped.

As for the Hampod, Rob the hampod guy chimed in himself  yesterday on 
this thread and said he had no experience with  Flex, but his limited 
experience with SDR stuff showed him it wasn't worth the effort to try 
and make the graphical stuff accessible.
