Dave, from your point of view, based upon what you have read, is there any
advantage of the new line of Baofeng handhelds compared to the original
line, e.g. the UV-5R?

Subject: New Baofeng Hand-helds

Hi Gang,

For those interested Baofeng has a new line of hand-helds. The UV-82 is a
portable for 144/440mHZ and the UV82X covers 144/222mHZ. Both radios are
5/1 watts, talking menu and frequency readout and the classic numerically
based Baofeng programming interface. Here is a link to a Youtube
presentation on the radios.
