I disagree: 

I couldn't see well enough to see the display, I had no problems using mine in both a remote and local setup, even driving a Heathkit SB-220 HF amp. 
I did require a little sited assistance to make the menu adjustments, including set/dial feature, which permits the toggling of the selector knob to access the power adjustment, other than that the menu was set and forget. Yaesu has to take allot of crap for non-accessibility but I think 50 percent should go to the 3rd party software and hardware venders as well. Take the maker of the QSer and the ham pod. Yaesu's command code reference manuals are available, yet they don't bother.
