Hello Butch.  After talking to you about the 990, you have pretty well
convinced me to buy one.  I still want to wait a few more months in hopes
that some of the initial bugs will be addressed.  I will talk to NC0B about
any published fixes as he performs his evaluation of the radio for his
standard lab test suite.  Rob and Ken Long are fountains of information on
all recent rigs, as well as some older ones too.

Yep, it is quite a radio.  I'm still learning mine.  Talks very well 
though.  BTW, if you want a numbered listing of the assignable 
functions, I can send you one.  When you go into the menu to assign 
them, all it speaks are numbers, although the screen tells you what it 
is.  The manual lists these, but didn't number them.  I added numbers, 
so I can tell what number does what.
