It was a beautiful day the day my daddy died...

Dan, I had an eerily similar experience on June 29th, minus the bike ride. My 92-year-old dad died with a minimum of discomfort and disruption in Arizona. I had tickets to visit him for next weekend, but he couldn't wait, and now he has been flown back to Michigan for the funeral. Should be a pretty good time with everyone gathered together. Having my grandson with us will cheer everyone, and not so subtly represent the continuity of life.
