Hi.

I use the AC Log, Field Day log, and, today, for the first
time, I used the North American QSO Party (NAQP) logging software from
N3FJP. I notice that, at least with the Field Day and NAQP versions, the
first character I type in a field doesn't always show up. I can only be sure
the whole name or section is there, if I go back and read the field a second
time--not great when you're in a contest. I suspect it's some kind of timing
issue, since it's intermittent. Has anyone else seen this? I should mention
that I first experienced this on Field Day, two years ago. Since then, I've
seen the problem on three laptops, over three versions of JAWS, and on
Windows XP and Windows 7. I have tried varying the "Appearance" options,
turning off the Wave file voice prompts that are optional, and eliminating
the task bar. I've also made sure the screen was maximized.

Just writing this out to all of you has made me think I
should try it with another screen reader, like SAToGo and NVDA, to see if I
get the same results.

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

Dave
