    Junior:

If the money fairy pays you a visit, please send her up my way too, since
I'm starting to think about how I might acquire the funds to eventually get
a TS590 to replace my shack TS480.

I'm nowhere near having the money yet, but you know what they say: "You
have to have goals in life!". (grin)

Tom, if the money fairy ever pays me a visit and leaves me a small pot of
money then I will get an amplifier grin.
I really appreciate all of the very nice compliments on my new loop.
It really makes me feel good.
I will continue to relay where ever I can.
I am glad to be of assistance on the net.

    Lloyd and all:

As many of you know, I checked into the 20-meter Cross-Country blind ops net

from the RV today.

The two loudest stations for me were Junior and Paul (K0DDA) from Iowa.

The fact that Paul (K0DDA) from Iowa was so loud for me on 20 meters shows
you how strange the band truly was.

I could hear parts of Lloyd's transmissions, and most of Kevin's, but Kevin
obviously couldn't hear me.

Someone on the net made a comment about how great our friend Junior is doing

with relays, and that blockbuster antenna of his, and I couldn't agree more.

I think that when Junior gets an amplifier someday, we're all going to have
to just stand back and let him take over!!!! (grin)

Regarding the fact that new people are now increasingly checking in to both
of our nets, I think this is a very significant development, and shows the
value of what we are trying to do here. This is why I'd really like to see
our nets continue consistently in at least some form throughout the entire
year. The challenge will be to get the word about any time and day changes
to all those who are interested in participating.

Thanks to everyone for a great job this week-end!

We ran the net on 14258 from about 2000 to 2045Z. Thank you to KG4ITD and
K0DDA for relaying. The following stations checked in:
W3IUU
K7RX
KB5SDU, Grady in Nakadoches? Louisiana
KG4ITD
KB8TYJ
KW3A
K0DDA, Paul in Lohrville, Iowa, using my mother's callsign
AE7PD
W9VMP
W9DIK
WB9GUT
KK3F
K2EFG/2, Yigal
KI4DXB, DEL, FLA
K7CHE, CHUCK, GREEN VALLEY, AZ

KB5SDU is another guy who is blind and found out about our net from someone
else. He doesn't do e-mail. He had questions about popping in the AGC of a
TS480. I didn't have answers, and the net was winding down by the time I
got his question.

It is gratifying to find new people wishing to check in. I hope we are
providing a useful service. I don't know whether I said it, but Gail,
KD8KWG, was a new blind check-in on 40 meters yesterday.
