As I said in my previous post on this subject, if the mic amp is on, the 
TS2000 mic gain should be reduced, but the mic's amp in the mic will give 
better vox control.  If you just turn on the mic's amp, you'll be 
overdriving the rig unless you turn down the mic gain.  In my opinion, there 
is no difference between the amp being on or off as long as you adjust the 
mic gain properly.
