Hi All

First want to say thanks to all that replied to my thread "Allowing
guest access to Internet not lan" which I'm going to go with the
multiple router route. Now is that my second router is a Linksys but my
nic's are Rosewill (all being "N") I have a problem of only getting
around 120mbps bandwidth through the Linksys. I don't get the reported
300mbps even with the Rosewill and matched NIC's I get 270mbps and the
router is only 10 feet away or less with a clear shot to boot. So I'm
concerned about using the Linksys router in this case. Since the
Rosewill router is only 40 bucks I might consider just getting another one.

I read somewhere that you have to have to match the NICS to the router
in order to get maximum bandwidth. Is this true or am I missing
something somewhere? Is this bandwidth normal in this case? The
bandwidth is barely better than super g mode.

By the way my Rosewill is the Easy4 using WEP security, shared key. My
environment is home/office more home than office. With two desktops
wireless and two laptops wireless and two desktops wired.

Thanks

Brad Feuerhelm
