well, not quite true.
once you program something, and make sure you press all the appropriate
buttons, and it starts receiving on the frequency, then you know you've
programmed it right.
if it doesn't receive, then you haven't programmed it right and you redo it.
I know what you meant though, no speech feedback makes it difficult to be
sure.
