Tom, the internal tuner adjusts reflected power between it's self and the 
final amplifier.  The tw1 is on the other side of this adjustment. 
Therefore their is no tuning adjustment between the meter and the antenna. 
Therefore, you are correct in your evaluation.  The professor gets an A!
