Since Field Day is Starting about now, may not get response but this isn't
urgent. Sorry you will miss Field, Buddy. Now for the battery question...

I got my Victor Reader Stream Monday and ran across information in the
tutorial that raised an old question about recharging protocol. According
to HumanWare the battery can be recharged about 400 times after which its
discharge life will decrease. OK. You can use the device while charging
and that's good. Didn't say whether you can leave it on AC all or most of
the time.

I understand from QST articles on the subject that a charge, whether for 5
minutes or for full charge time counts as a charge from the number of
available charges. Here's the point... If I plug into AC and play as a
means of saving my current charge and then play the Victor for a few hours
using battery only, is that actually worse than only playing it on battery
until charge is low then recharging thus taking advantage of my 400 full
charges capability?
